(7) Remove the blend tool as follows:
(a) Stop the drive motor.
(b) Put the grind tip in the zero degree position.
(c) Remove the grind tip from the borescope access port.
CAUTION
MAKE SURE THE DRIVE SHAFT HEAD IS IN THE 90 DEGREE POSITION
WHEN YOUR REMOVE OR INSTALL THE TOOL TIP TO THE DRIVE
SHAFT HEAD. IF YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL THE TOOL TIP WITH THE
DRIVE SHAFT HEAD IN THE ZERO DEGREE POSITION, THE DRIVE
BELT WILL DISENGAGE.
(d) Put the grind tip in the 90 degree position.
(e) Remove the grind tip from the drive shaft head.

(8) Prepare to polish the blended surface as follows:
(a) Put the polishing ball tip in the drive shaft head.
(b) Put the polishing ball tip in the the zero degree position and insert through the borescope
access port.
(c) Put the drive shaft head to the 90 degree position.

(9) Polish the blend repair.

(10) Remove the blend tool as follows:
(a) Stop the drive motor.
(b) Put the polishing ball tip in the zero degree position and remove it from the borescope
port.

(11) Use the standard borescope probe 1 configuration (magnified 1:1 at 7 inches) to inspect the
blended blades to make sure all the damage has been removed.

(12) Do the steps in the task "How to Identify the Zero Degree Point" (PAGEBLOCK 72-00-00/201)
to return the airplane to its usual condition.
(a) Make sure you install the borescope core turning pad cover.
(b) Make sure you tighten the borescope plug to the correct torque value.
(c) Make sure you do the idle leak check.

(13) Make a record in the engine records of the HPC blade blend depth and location.

(14) If no more work will be done at this time, do the task "Put the Airplane to its Usual Condition".

(15) You must inspect the blended area (PAGEBLOCK 72-00-00/601) between 25 cycles and 50
cycles.
(a) If there is no unserviceable damage, no additional follow-up inspections are necessary.
