WARNING
USE AMM 71-00-00/201 TO OPERATE THE POWER PLANT. IF YOU DO NOT
USE THIS PROCEDURE, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT AND
INJURY TO PERSONS.
(1) Use the Power Plant Dry-Motor procedure to motor the engine for 1.5 minutes
(PAGEBLOCK 71-00-00/201).
NOTE: Be prepared to put 20 gallons (76 liters) of solution into the top of the low pressure
compressor intake.
SUBTASK 72-00-00-867-018-G00
(2) Release the starter switch.
SUBTASK 72-00-00-117-019-G00
CAUTION
MAKE SURE THAT YOU USE A FLOW RATE OF 10 TO 15 GALLONS/MINUTE
(38 TO 57 LITER/MINUTE). THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE
COMPRESSOR.
(3) Do this immediately: Use a flowrate of 10-15 gallons (57 liters) per minute to put the solution
into the low pressure compressor intake opening.
(a) If a hand held cleaning wand is used, the wand should be approximately 5 to 10 feet from
the engine inlet.
SUBTASK 72-00-00-117-020-G00
(4) When the fan rotor (N1) does not turn anymore, or when the mixture is used up, stop the
operation to put the solution into the low pressure compressor intake.
SUBTASK 72-00-00-117-021-G00
(5) If the solution is a mixture of gas path cleaner, G02351 [C04-140] and water, do the steps that
follow:
(a) Let the engine soak for 15 minutes.
(b) Do the steps to clean the engine with water.
SUBTASK 72-00-00-117-022-G00
(6) If the solution is water (or water and alcohol), do the steps that follow:
(a) Let the engine soak for ten minutes.
(b) Dry-Motor the engine for five minutes while you do the steps that follow
