SUBTASK 72-00-00-117-014-G00
(1) If water will be used to clean the engine, do the steps that follow:
NOTE: You can use one of three solutions to clean the engine. Clean water can be used. If
the ambient temperature is below 40° F (5° C) use water mixed with alcohol, B00679
[C04-035]. A mixture of water and gas path cleaner, G02351 [C04-140]can be used if
the engine is very dirty.
(a) Use potable water only that is clean with no chlorine or other chemicals.
(b) For best results, heat the water to 150°-175°F (65°-80°C).
NOTE: Hot water cleans better than cold water.
SUBTASK 72-00-00-117-015-G00
(2) If the ambient temperature is below 40°F (5°C), then prepare 20 gallons (76 liters) solution of
water and alcohol, B50073 to clean the engine.
