NIKON SPEEDLIGHTS
The table below summarizes key features
of current Nikon Speedlights.
Nikon’s Creative Lighting System includes
the ability to regulate the light from
multiple Speedlights through a wireless
system. The built-in flash units on
professional DSLRs like the D800 can be
used as the “commander” for a wireless
setup, as can the SB-910 and SB-700
Speedlights. There’s also a standalone
commander, the SU-800. The D5300 can
operate within such a system but must be
physically connected to a commander
unit. There are alternative wireless systems
too, like Pocket Wizard and Phottix Odin.
