SHOW DETAILED PHOTO INDICATORS
Press the shutter-release button fully to
take a picture, as in normal shooting. In
the continuous release modes the mirror
stays up, and the monitor remains blank,
between shots, making it almost impossible
to follow moving subjects (another reason
why shooting with the Viewfinder is better
for action).
If Auto or Scene modes are selected,
exposure control is fully automatic, except
that in Scene modes exposure level can be
locked by pressing and holding
. In
P, S, A, or M modes, exposure control is
much the same as in normal shooting.
If you use exposure compensation in P, S,
or A modes, the brightness of the Live
View display changes to reflect this.
However, this can’t be relied on as a
preview of the final image. In M mode
the brightness of the display does not
change as you adjust settings.
