INTERVAL
Flight control system
Clean and inspect all cables, pulleys,
and bearings, for evidence of corro-
sion. Replace corroded cables. Do not
apply preservation to cables.
If immersed, each occur-
rence, before further
flight.
Trim control system
Clean and inspect all trim system ca-
bles, pulleys, bearings jack screws,
etc. Do not apply preservation to trim
cables.
If immersed, each occur-
rence, before further
flight.
Actuating cables
Inspect “push-pull” actuating cables
for powerplant, heating & ventilating
system, fuel system, for proper opera-
tion
If immersed, each occur-
rence, before further
flight.
Engine
Remove the engine from the aircraft.
Inspect, repair or overhaul as neces-
sary in an authorized propeller repair
center.
If immersed, each occur-
rence, before further
flight.
Engine accessories
Inspect. Aircraft systems that supply
either fuel or oil to the engine must be
thoroughly cleaned, including oil
cooler, lines, valves, to prevent con-
tamination of engine after reinstalla-
tion.
If immersed, each occur-
rence, before further
flight.
Propeller and propeller
governor
Inspect and repair as necessary in an
authorized propeller repair center.
If immersed, each occur-
rence, before further
flight.
Electrical systems
Replace all circuit breakers and
switches. Replace all solenoids, relays
and master contactors. Replace bat-
tery. Disassemble all connectors; clean
and inspect for corrosion. Replace all
corroded or pitted connectors. Inspect
for wire corrosion at connector. Check
all harness assemblies for entrapped
contaminants. Clean and check for
short circuits. Remove electric motors
and electric pump. Clean and check
voltage regulators and overvoltage re-
lays. Replace as necessary. Clean and
check all strobe light power supplies.
Refer to appropriate maintenance
manual. Replace fuel senders. Clean,
inspect and check heated pitot systems
(if installed).
If immersed, each occur-
rence, before further
flight.
Pitot-static system
Clean and inspect all lines and its stat-
ic vents.
If immersed, each occur-
rence, before further
flight.
Induction system
Clean and inspect for silt and corro-
sion. Check all ducts and gaskets. Re-
place as necessary.
If immersed, each occur-
rence, before further
flight.
