1.
Remove the tail fairing
2.
Disconnect the moving surface from its control
rod. To avoid interference with the free rotation
of the tailplane, temporarily secure control rod
to the stabilator support assy
3.
Disconnect trim-tab control rod
4.
Disconnect trim-tab to tabulator to avoid any
relative movement. Use adhesive tape to
avoid any influence on balance
5.
Secure trim-tab to stabilatot to avoid any
relative movement. Use adhesive tape to
avoid any influence on balance
6.
Check for excessive friction or lock-ups in the
moving parts
