BRAKE SYSTEM MAINTENANCE PRACTICES
3. BRAKE PADS REPLACING
When thickness of lining is less than 2.4 mm, brake pads should be replaced.
Procedure (both side)

1.
Make sure parking brake is released
2.
Remove fairings to expedite operation
3.
Loosen bolts (1) from the caliper (2)
4.
Slide caliper (2) along the guides (3), being
careful not to bend brake fluid line
5.
Remove the backplate (4) and the pressure
plate (5)
6.
Remove and replace linings (6) by drilling out
the rivets
7.
Replace new linings with brand (6) and fasten
them with new rivets (7)
8.
Reassemble all previously removed parts and
perform a check after reassembly.
