TROUBLESHOOTING
The following troubleshooting instructions are provided to augment specific system
information found in this manual about the electrical generation system.

GENERATOR caution
light turned ON
Generator replacement required.
For troubleshooting, removal and
installation, make reference to
the instructions addressed on
Rotax Installation Manual part
no. 899735, last issue and Heavy
Maintenance Manual part no.
899603 last issue, as applicable.
Generator wiring line short
circuit
External socket not well
connected
Insert correctly external power
socket
External power relay fails
Battery is at end of life.
Battery will not come up to
full charge.
Charging rate is
insufficient.
Check and correct settings for
appropriate battery recharge in
accordance with guidelines set in
CMM (TBP 1555 – last issue)
Battery will not hold
charge.
Flight legs too short to
charge the battery
sufficiently
Remove the battery from the
aircraft and recharge when
necessary.
Standing too long (hot
climate).
Remove battery from aircraft,
check and replenish electrolyte
and recharge.
Short circuit; short to
ground in wiring; or other
Check wiring and rest of
electrical system. Correct
