Newer spreaders:
If the spreader used is not appropriate with the
spreader table programmed into the computer, it is
possible to encode the scale settings using the
spreader table supplied with the spreader.
Scale setting encodement is done as follows:
Read the settings from the table supplied with the
spreader.
Encode the effective spreader width under “DISTRIB.
WIDTH”.
Select “DOSERATE”. Encode the specific gravity as
0.00 and the scale setting can be encoded using the
numerical keypad.
ACTUATOR CALIBRATION
The system comprising of the computer and an
actuator must be calibrated to fit the spreader. This
calibration must be done at regular intervals during the
season, i.e. each time the spreader is connected to
the computer.
Before calibration:
Move and tighten the scale stop to its highest setting.
Ensure that the scale stop cannot move during the
calibration procedure.
CALIBRATION:
Select “DOSERATE” and press the “CALIB.
ACTUATOR” key for approx. 3 seconds, this will
make the actuator move the gate from closed to open
and then open to closed.
NOTE: It may be necessary to repeat the
actuator calibration a few times if the
actuator has been removed to achieve
the correct position during a “release
test”.
