FERTILISER DISTRIBUTOR, RAUCH BETA/DELTA TEEJET 5000 OPERATORS MANUAL
4.110
FERTILISER CALIBRATION:
Prepare the spreader as follows before the fertiliser calibration procedure takes
place:
1. To ease the calibration procedure it is only necessary to calibrate one section
of the spreader. Using the switch box open this one section and shut all of the
other sections. The main on/off switch should be set to off.
NOTE: The calibration procedure can be done using both sections. The
optimal accuracy is achieved using both sections, but an adequate
accuracy can be achieved by measuring the amount of fertiliser
from one section.
If both sections are used for calibration, the total amount from both
sides must be encoded.
Do not open any other sections during the calibration procedure.
2. Three different “fixed” application rates used during operation must be encoded
now. Press thereafter the “CALIB. PROCED” key.
3. The minimum and maximum forward speed at which the spreader will be
operating must be encoded by moving the cursor and then using the numerical
keypad. Encodement range 3.0 – 30.0 KPH
4. Start the machine and let it run at the recommended speed.
5. Press the “START” key and the computer is ready for CALIBRATION TEST 1.
6. Switch the main on/off switch to ON.
The TeeJet 5000 will count seconds under the test.
To ensure accurate calibration, use as much fertiliser as possible.
7. When a suitable amount has been released switch the spreader off.
8. Weigh the released fertiliser as accurately as possible, remember to deduct the
weight of the bucket. Encode the amount with 1 decimal using the numerical
keypad.
9. Press the “CALIB. TEST 2” key and the computer is ready for calibration test
2, proceed as described for calibration test 1 (steps 4-7).
10. Press the “CALC. AND SAVE” Key and it is possible to save the calibration
result in 1 of 3 positions. Select which position to save the result in using the
arrow keys, press thereafter the “SELECT” key.
If the “CALCULATE” key is pressed, the calibration will be used until
another calibration procedure takes place or another calibration (previously
saved) is selected.
If the metered/encoded amounts from the calibration procedure are not accurate
enough for the TeeJet 5000, a warning will be given and the calibration procedure
must be carried out again.
