TEEJET 5000 OPERATORS MANUAL SEED DRILL, LEMKEN
5.55
TRACK NUMBER
Encode the tramline rhythm here.
Example: The working width of the seed drill is = 3 m.
The working width of the fertiliser spreader/sprayer is = 15 m.
Track number = 15/3 = 5.
The tramlining method to be used is also selected here (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H
Right/Left). The methods are described in the "seed drill operation" section.
NOTE! It is not possible to alter the track number if either method C, D, E, F,
G, or H have been selected as these methods have a set track
number.
ROW NO.
Encode the total number of rows that the seed drill has.
NUMBER OF RETURNS
If the seed drill is fitted with a return to tank when tramlines are made the number
of tubes returning seed to the hopper should be encoded here.
If the seed drill is not fitted with a return to tank then this should be set to 0.
ROWS IN TRACK
Encode the number of rows that are shut when tramlines are being made. This
encodement is necessary for correct KG metering.
If the sown amount is not reduced when making tramlines encode 0.
NB: Pneumatic seed drills do not reduce the amount when tramlines
are being made.
FORWARD SPEED SENSOR
There is a speed sensor fitted to the seed drill that gives a suitable number of
pulses for the TeeJet 5000. With the future in mind the computer is also able to
receive signals from a sensor fitted onto a tractor or a radar sensor.
Please refer to chapter 2 for forward speed calibration.
MANUAL START
Encode the number of seconds that the drill shaft will rotate for when “MANUAL
START” is pressed, max. 20 seconds.
METRE SWITCH
Select whether the metre counter is started/stopped manually “MANUAL” or by
the selected implement sensor “IMPLEM. SENSOR”.
