ROW NO.
Encode the total number of rows that the seed drill has.
ROWS IN TRACK
Encode the number of rows that are shut when tramlines are being made. This
encodement is necessary for correct KG metering. If the sown amount is not
reduced when making tramlines encode 0.
SOW WIDTH
The seed drill’s effective working width in Cm.
FORWARD SPEED SENSOR
The TeeJet 5000 V.4 seed drill program (Simba) gives the option of choosing
between three different speed sensors (Wheel tractor, wheel drill, or Radar).
WHEEL TRACTOR
The speed signal can come from a sensor fitted in the gear box, or on a drive
shaft, or from a sensor fitted on a wheel, depending on the make and model of the
tractor used for sowing.
WHEEL DRILL
If a speed sensor is fitted on the seed drill then use this sensor as the sensor will
give a suitable number of pulses.
RADAR
If the tractor is fitted with radar then select “RADAR” and forward speed will be
measured from the radar. Radar and the number of pulses per metre will be
displayed at the top of the screen.
Please refer to chapter 2 for forward speed calibration
IMPLEMENT SENSOR
The implement override sensor starts and stops area counting and counts bouts.
Pressing this key gives the following options:
1. 3-point external (lift arms)
2. 3-point DIN/ISO (built into the tractor)
3. Seed drill
The selected sensor is shown at the top of the display.
