GENERAL FUNCTIONS TEEJET 5000 OPERATORS MANUAL
2.18
MANUAL CALIBRATION
1. Mark the wheel and the ground.
2. Drive exactly 10 rotations of the wheel (remember to count rotations on the
wheel fitted with magnets).
3. Mark the ground again
4. Measure the distance between the 2 marks in centimetres and divide by the
number of rotations and the number of magnets fitted on the wheel. The result
is the distance per pulse and can be encoded in centimetres with 3 decimals
(see the following formula).
Example:
The distance between the 2 marks is 52.80 metres (5280 centimetres).
The wheel has turned 10 times:
The wheel is fitted with 4 magnets.
5280 (Distance between marks in cm)
10 (Wheel rotations) x 4 (Magnets)
= 132,000 cm (Distance per pulse)
The calculated figure is encoded thus:
1. Press the “CALIB. CALC.” key
2. Encode the value using the numeric keypad.
3. The encoded figure can be deleted at anytime by
pressing the “C” key.
