SLURRY SPREADER, OTHER TYPE (HYDR.) TEEJET 5000 OPERATORS MANUAL
7.18
SLURRY SPREADER OPERATION
APPLICATION RATE:
The primary function under slurry spreader (hydraulic
control) is the application rate in TON/M3 per hectare.
This is calculated from the flow through the flowmeter
and the area counter (forward speed & working width).
This means that to see a reading here the machine
must be spreading and driving forward.
NB: The flowmeter must be calibrated correctly, the
wheel circumference and the working width
must be correct to ensure correct operation.
FORWARD SPEED:
Forward speed is shown in kilometres per hour with 1
decimal. Forward speed is calculated from pulses from
the sensor selected under encode (wheel tractor, wheel
slurry spreader or radar).
NB: Remember to reset the counters in
“DATA/DELETE” before starting.
SLURRY SPREADER FUNCTIONS:
The amounts metered can be displayed in TON or M
3
(cubic metre). This can be selected in encode under
“DOSE RATE”.
TON/M3: Consumption in ton/m
3
slurry.
TON/M3 LEFT: the amount remaining in the tank.
(TON/M3)/MIN: Consumption per minute.
TON/M3: The amount of slurry spread since starting. This function also
works as a trip counter and is deleted in “DATA/DELETE”,
where a total counter can also found (see chapter 2).
TON/M3
LEFT: The amount remaining in the tank. Presupposes correct
encodement of the tank size under TANK VOLUME in encode.
Each time FULL TANK is pressed, the amount encoded in
TANK VOLUME is transferred to TON/M3 LEFT, and the slurry
spreader is ready for a new load.
This function is also used for calibration of the flowmeter (see
page 7.22).
(TON/M3)/MIN: The amount per minute through the flowmeter.
