SLURRY SPREADER OPERATION (HORSCH)
Before the slurry spreader is used a PWM calibration of the proportional
valve MUST be carried out. This PWM calibration is normally carried out by
the engineer when fitting the system to the slurry spreader. The procedure
for this calibration is described in the PWM section under ENCODE.
APPLICATION RATE:
The primary function for slurry spreaders is application
rate. The application rate is displayed in TON/M3 per
hectare. This rate is calculated from the flow through the
flowmeter and area measurement (forward speed and
working width). It is therefore necessary to both drive and
spread to see this function.
NOTE: To ensure correct operation the flowmeter
must be calibrated, the correct wheel
circumference and the correct working width
must be encoded.
FORWARD SPEED:
Forward speed is displayed in kilometres per hour with 1
decimal. Forward speed is calculated using the sensor
selected under encode (wheel tractor, wheel spreader or
radar).
NOTE: Remember to reset all counters in
“DATA/DELETE” before starting.
SLURRY SPREADER FUNCTIONS: WITH FLOW METERING
The metered amount can be displayed in either TON or
M3 (cubic metres). These options are selected in encode
under “DOSERATE”.
TON/M3: Slurry consumption in ton or M3.
TON/M3 REST: The amount left in the tank.
(TON/M3)/MIN: Consumption per minute.
TON/M3: The amount of slurry spread since starting. This function works as
a trip counter, and can be deleted in “DATA/DELETE”. The total
counter is also found here.
