SEED DRILL, LEMKEN TEEJET 5000 OPERATORS MANUAL
5.46
METHOD F
This method is used when the seed drill is 12 metres wide and the implement used
to cultivate the crop is 18 metres wide.
A fixed rhythm of 6 is used (see page 5.55)
Example of method F Right:
The seed drill is fitted with 2x2 magnetic valves on the right-hand side of the drill
and 2x2 magnetic valves fitted to the left-hand side of the drill.
Drilling is started on the right-hand side of the field as shown on the diagram. One
half of the drill must be closed for the first bout. Thereafter the track number
should be set to 6-6 and tramlines are made on the left side of the drill. Tramlines
are made when the present track number is 1, 3, 4 & 6.
Note where tracks should be counted (A) and where tracks should not be
counted (all other corners) in the first 3 bouts around the whole field.
Track counting can be controlled by using either the "HOLD" key or by using the
"TRACK +/-" keys.
