TEEJET 5000 OPERATORS MANUAL SLURRY SPREADER, OTHER TYPE
7.3
SLURRY SPREADER OPERATION
APPLICATION RATE:
The primary function for slurry spreaders is application
rate. The application rate is displayed in TON/M3 per
hectare. This rate is calculated from the flow through the
flowmeter and area measurement (forward speed and
working width). It is therefore necessary to both drive and
spread to see this function.
NOTE: To ensure correct operation the flowmeter
must be calibrated, the correct wheel
circumference and the correct working width
must be encoded.
FORWARD SPEED:
Forward speed is displayed in kilometres per hour with 1
decimal. Forward speed is calculated using the sensor
selected under encode (wheel tractor, wheel spreader or
radar).
NOTE: Remember to reset all counters in
“DATA/DELETE” before starting.
SLURRY SPREADER FUNCTIONS: WITH FLOWMETER
The metered amount can be displayed in either TON or
M3 (cubic metres). These options are selected in encode
under “DOSERATE”.
TON/M3: Slurry consumption in ton or M3.
TON/M3 REST: The amount left in the tank.
(TON/M3)/MIN: Consumption per minute.
TON/M3: The amount of slurry spread since starting. This function works as
a trip counter, and can be deleted in “DATA/DELETE”. The total
counter is also found here.
TON/M3
REST: The amount remaining in the tank. This function presupposes
encodement of the tank size “TANK VOLUME” in encode. Every
time “TANK EMPTY” is pressed, the tank size is transferred to
“TON/M3 REST” and the slurry spreader is ready to fill and
spread again.
This function is also used in conjunction with flowmeter calibration
(see page number 7.8).
(TON/M3)/MIN: The amount of slurry per minute going through the flowmeter.
