config 802.1x auth_protocol
Purpose Used to configure the 802.1X authentication protocol on the switch.
Syntax config 802.1x auth_protocol [local | radius_eap]
Description This command is used to configure the authentication protocol.
Parameters local | radius_eap – Specify the type of authentication protocol desired.
Restrictions Only Administrator-level users can issue this command.
# config 802.1x auth_protocol radius_eap
Command: config 802.1x auth_protocol radius_eap
Success.

config 802.1x init
Purpose Used to initialize the 802.1X function on a range of ports.
Syntax config 802.1x init [port_based ports [<portlist> | all] | mac_based [ports]
[<portlist> | all] {mac_address <macaddr>}]
Description This command is used to immediately initialize the 802.1X functions on a
specified range of ports or for specified MAC addresses operating from a
specified range of ports.
Parameters port_based – This instructs the switch to initialize 802.1X functions based only
on the port number. Ports approved for initialization can then be specified.
mac_based - This instructs the switch to initialize 802.1X functions based
only on the port number or the MAC address. MAC addresses approved for
initialization can then be specified.
ports <portlist> - Specifies a port or range of ports to be configured.
all - Specifies all of the ports on the switch.
mac_address <macaddr> - Enter the MAC address to be initialized.
Restrictions Only Administrator-level users can issue this command.
