To set the loopback detection status to enabled:

enable loopdetect
Purpose Used to globally enable the loopback detection function on the switch.
Syntax enable loopdetect
Description This command is used to allow the loopback detection function to be globally
enabled on the switch. The default value is disabled.
Parameters None.
Restrictions Only Administrator-level users can issue this command.
# enable loopdetect
