Controlling N1076A/77A from M8070A
The N1076A electrical clock recovery and N1077A electrical/optical clock
recovery provide necessary clock signals to the error detector in M8070A.
They take an incoming data (or clock) signal, locks onto it using a
phase-locked loop (PLL) circuit, and outputs a recovered clock. The
recovered clock can be used as a timing reference for oscilloscopes or
M8070A.
N1076A /77A cannot be controlled directly from M8070A, but requires a
running instance of FlexDCA N1000-Series System Software.
One Time Preparation
In order to make N1076A/77A accessible in M8070A please prepare the
setup as follows.
1 Install FlexDCA N1000-Series System Software on the computer that
the N1076A/77A is connected to via USB.In most cases this will be the
same computer that executes M8070A.
2 Start FlexDCA N1000-Series System Software and enable the remote
programming interface.
The minimum required version of the FlexDCA N1000-Series System
Software is A.05.61.23.
