7 Setting up Patterns
Toolbar
The toolbar provides the following convenient pattern editing functions:

Elements Name Description
New Click this icon to create a new pattern. For details, refer to
Creating New Patterns on page 398
Open Click this icon to open a pattern from a file. For details,
refer to Opening Existing Patterns on page 401
Save Click this icon to save the current pattern. For details, refer
to Saving Patterns on page 403.
Save As Click this icon to change the properties of current pattern
and then save it under different name. For details, refer to
Saving Patterns on page 403.
Import Click this icon to import patterns, edit them and use them
for testing and analysis. For details, refer to Importing
Patterns
on page 406.
Export Click this icon to export patterns in the desired location.
These patterns can be used by other instruments for
testing and analysis. For details, refer to Exporting
Patterns
on page 408.
Download Click this icon to download the pattern to either all
locations or on the selected locations.
An orange icon indicates that the pattern is modified
and is not yet downloaded to any location(s).
