7 Setting up Patterns
The Pattern Editor allows you to perform following tasks on patterns:
• Create a new patterns. For details, refer to Creating New Patterns on
page 398.
• Open and already existing patterns. For details, refer to Opening
Existing Patterns on page 401.
• Save a patterns. For details, refer to Saving Patterns on page 403.
• Import supported patterns. For details, refer to Importing Patterns on
page 406.
• Perform block edit operations. For details, refer to Interactive Link
Training on page 435.
• Edit a patterns on Pattern Edit Pane. For details, refer to Pattern Edit
Pane on page 414.
Creating New Patterns
To create a new pattern:
1Click the
New icon present on the tool bar. This opens with the
Create New Pattern sliding window as shown in the following figure:
2 Select the coding type. The Pattern Editor currently supports the
following types of coding:
• Bit (Binary)
• 8B/10B
• 128B/130B
• 128B/132B
