There can be up to 32 <Extern Text> objects within a print job. For each object you can
define the number of wildcards and the offset separately.
But nevertheless all <Extern Text> objects within a print job will process the same
received character string. It is just a matter of the wildcard and the offset settings which
part of the received character string is used by the
<Extern Text: Fixed length> object.
The received serial data are stored in an input buffer. The size of this buffer is defined
the <Extern Text> object that have the largest sum from wildcards and offset.
If you like to use more than one <Extern Text> object in a print job it is mandatory
that the transferred string is always of the same length.
