The "Maintenance" dialog box also provides information on your instrument configura-
tion which can be helpful in case you need support.
23.5 Data security
If you have to send the instrument to the service, or if the instrument is used in a
secured environment, consider the document "Instrument Security Procedures" that is
delivered on the R&S RTP web page.
Instrument configuration data and user data are stored on a removable hard disk only.
Thus it is sufficient to remove the hard disk before the instrument leaves a secured
environment. Details are given in the document mentioned above.
23.6 Transporting
Lifting and carrying

Packing
Use the original packaging material. It consists of antistatic wrap for electrostatic pro-
tection and packing material designed for the product.
If you do not have the original packaging, use similar materials that provide the same
level of protection.
Securing
When moving the R&S RTP in a vehicle or using transporting equipment, make sure
that the R&S RTP is properly secured. Only use items intended for securing objects.
Transport altitude
Refer to the the data sheet, the maximum transport altitude without pressure compen-
sation.
23.7 Storage
Protect the product against dust. Ensure that the environmental conditions, e.g. tem-
perature range and climatic load, meet the values specified in the data sheet.
