Figure 14-4: Setup & Hold trigger settings
Clock source
Selects the digital channel of the clock signal.
Remote command:
TRIGger<m>:PARallel:SETHold:CSOurce[:VALue] on page 2210
TRIGger<m>:PARallel:STATe:CSOurce:VALue on page 2210
TRIGger<m>:PARallel:SPATtern:CSOurce[:VALue] on page 2210
Clock edge
Sets the edge of the clock signal. The crossing of the clock edge and the logical
threshold defines the time reference point for the setup and hold time measurement.
Remote command:
TRIGger<m>:PARallel:SETHold:CSOurce:EDGE on page 2213
Setup time
Sets the minimum time before the clock edge while data is stable and not change its
state.
The setup time can be negative. In this case, the setup interval starts after the clock
edge, and the hold time starts after the setup time has expired. Thus, the hold time is
always positive. If you change the negative setup time, the hold time is adjusted by the
instrument.
Remote command:
TRIGger<m>:PARallel:SETHold:STIMe on page 2213
Hold time
Sets the minimum time after the clock edge while data is stable and not change its
state.
The hold time can be negative. In this case, the hold time ends before the clock edge,
and the setup interval ends when the hold interval starts. Thus, the setup time is
always positive. If you change the negative hold time, the setup time is adjusted by the
instrument.
