MANUAL BOOM SECTION CONTROL:
It is possible to work with up to 9 individual boom sections (presupposes
encodement of the sections under DISTRIB. WIDTH in encode).
These boom sections can be opened/closed manually with the numerical keypad.
When the numerical key that corresponds to the boom section is pressed for
approx. 3 seconds the boom section is opened or closed.
If the spreader has 5 boom sections giving a total working width of 16 metres, the
boom sections can be encoded as follows:
Sections 1 and 5 = 50 centimetres
Sections 2 and 4 = 150 centimetres
Section 3 = 1200 centimetres
It is now possible to reduce the spreading width from 16M to 15M by closing
sections 1 and 5, closing sections 2 and 4 thereafter reduces the working width to
12M.
Which sections are open/closed is displayed on the screen.
BOOM SECTIONS ON/OFF:
Pressing this key starts or stops slurry spreading. Can
only be used if “SLURRY SPREADER” has been
selected as the implement sensor under “IMPLEM.
SENSOR” in encode.
Also works as the area override sensor.
The picture to the left shows a slurry spreader with 2
boom sections encoded. One section is open and one
section is closed. To open the other section, press the
number 2 on the numerical keypad for approx. 3
seconds. To close the first section press number 1 on
the numerical keypad for approx. 3 seconds.

When the area override sensor is activated (not
counting area) “I” is displayed and all sections will
disappear.
