Carriage encoder system
The encoder strip tension is also xed by a tensioning spring. However, there is a mechanism to hold it in
position after the spring places the strip at one specic tension. This is to prevent the spring from continually
applying force over the encoder strip; which, over time and temperature changes, could make it creep.
NOTE: When assembling the encoder strip, ensure that it is placed in the right orientation using the smiling
symbol located on the sides of the encoder strip.
