3. GOVERNOR REPLACEMENT

1.
Make sure Master Switches are turned
OFF.
2.
Parking brake: engage
3.
Engine starter circuit breakers: pull out
4.
Remove engine upper cowling unscrewing
along the edges.
5.
Remove propeller bowden cable from gov-
ernor control lever. Unscrew bolt.
6.
Remove mounting nuts and washers
Governor drive and en-
gine pad must be without
impurities. (metal chips
etc.)
If it is necessary, clean
governor drive and engine
pad by appropriate means.
7.
Pat on the governor to release it and then
remove governor from engine pad.
8.
If necessary, Perform preservation in ac-
cordance with section 8.0 of Governor op-
eration manual, to prepare for long term
storage.
9.
Prepare new mounting gasket per
MS914401
Coat gasket with engine
oil or equivalent before
installation.
10.
Check that mounting studs project a mini-
mum of 31,75 mm (1.250 in) from face of
engine pad.
