Figure 389: Removing the processor
Ê Carefully remove the processor from its socket in a vertical motion.
V CAUTION!
Be careful not to touch or bend the spring contacts on the processor
socket.
Ê Thoroughly clean residual thermal paste from the processor surface using a
lint-free cloth.
Ê If the processor is being replaced during a CPU upgrade and may be reused
later, store it in a save place.
