7. MODIFICATION OF THE MEASUREMENT CONDITIONS AND EVALUATING CONDITIONS
7.5.3 Modifying the measuring range
The SJ-410 can perform measurement in one of the following measuring ranges: 8, 80,
800, or AUTO.
The measurement resolution for each range is as shown in the following table.

Minimum resolution (µm) 0.0125 0.00125 0.000125
When the measurement range is set to AUTO, the measurement range automatically
switches for measurement depending on the amount of displacement in the measurement
range.
TIP
• To perform skidless measurement with further sensitive (narrow) range, you must adjust
the workpiece in the horizontal direction correctly. For information about adjustment in
the horizontal direction, refer to "4.2.4 Perform leveling" (page 4-4).
