15.6 Adjustment using the XYZ Adjustment Table
When measurement is performed along the ridge line of a cylindrical object, accurate
setting is required so that the axis of the cylindrical object becomes horizontal to the
direction of measurement. This setting, considered to be difficult, is called “axial leveling”.
With the XYZ adjustment table, an optional accessory, this type of setting can be
completed easily and shortly by simple operation.
Following the guidance, obtain two peak points of the cylindrical object (bottom points in
the case of inside of cylinder). This type of adjustment is easily completed by the setting of
the table micrometer to the value calculated based on the peaks (bottoms).
The XYZ adjustment table supports the DAT function of this product.
