6.4 Setting Calibration Conditions
Set the following calibration conditions according to the specimen.
IMPORTANT
• The default values of the calibration conditions are in accordance with Mitutoyo's
precision roughness specimen. When performing step calibration, or unless otherwise
required, perform calibration measurement with the default conditions.
• Calibration method
• Number of measurements (only for roughness calibration)
• Roughness standard (only for roughness calibration)
• Filter (only for roughness calibration)
• Cut-off value (λc) (only for roughness calibration)
• Number of sampling lengths, or evaluation length (arbitrary length) (only for
roughness calibration)
• Traversal speed
• Returning speed
• Measurement range
• Auto-start
• Auto-return
• Retraction
Calibration measurement settings are specified on the Calibration Condition Setup screen.
NOTE
• To reset the calibration conditions collectively to the default values (factory settings),
touch
[ResetToDefault] on the Calibration Condition Setup screen.
