15.4 Adjustment using the Cross-travel Table
The cross-travel table is an optional item.
The procedure of the leveling operation is nearly identical to that specified in the previous
section "15.1 Adjustment using the Tilt Knob". (1) perform preliminary measurement and
subsequently calculate the inclination θ from the mean line of the measured profiles, and
(2) perform leveling adjustment.
The tilt knob facilitates leveling operation. Adjustment amount derived from the inclination
angle obtained by preliminary measurement performed following the guidance is displayed
as the number of revolutions.
TIP
• Before preliminary measurement, it is recommended that you determine a workpiece's
position with adjustment head.
