7.3.2.3 Modifying the cut-off length (λc, λs) of roughness profile R/DF
When the evaluation profile R or DF (DIN4776) is selected, the cut-off length (λc, λs) is
displayed on the Evaluating Condition Setup screen as cutoff-related variable parameters.
Change cut-off length (λs, λc) if required.
When "R" or "D" is selected as an evaluation profile, the recommended roughness range
specified in the surface roughness standard is displayed for each respective cut-off length.
This is useful for selecting an appropriate cut-off length.
■ Displaying the roughness range classification
In order to select an appropriate cut-off length, a roughness range recommended based
on a representative parameter value is displayed for each cutoff length.

■ The relationship between the cut-off lengths (λc) and (λs)
When a cut-off length (λc) is set, the following settings are allowed for the cut-off length
(λs): The values with the underline are automatically set as a default value when the
cut-off length (λc) is changed.
