3 SETTING UP THE SJ-410
This section explains the attachment procedure and the initial
settings of the drive/detector unit.
3.1 SJ-410 Settings
The following settings must be made before making measurements with the SJ-410.
• Attaching a stylus and a nosepiece
Attach a stylus and a nosepiece to the detector main unit.
This section also explains the procedure for attaching and detaching a stylus, etc.
• Installing the drive unit and detector
The SJ-410 is shipped with the display unit, detector, and drive unit packed separately.
Connect the three units with connecting cables.

• Applying the touch panel protection sheet
Apply the panel protection sheet on the touch panel of the display unit.

• Attaching the touch pen strap
Attach the touch pen strap to the SJ-410 and touch pen.

• Setting the printer paper
Set the printer paper to the display unit.

Set the SD card to the display unit.

• Turning on the power supply
Recharge the built-in battery of the display unit and turn the power on.
This section explains turning the power on/off during usual operations.
• Initial settings
Set up the items such as the date (including the time) and the display language.
• Using the attache case
For safe transport of the SJ-410, put components such as the display unit. drive unit,
height/tilt adjustment unit, and power cable in the attache case.
