21 TROUBLESHOOTING
In this chapter check point and what to do when you have trouble
with the instrument is described.
21.1 System Operation

SJ-410 cannot be turned
on when it is powered by
the battery.
The level of the battery remainder power is low.
Recharge the battery.
Refer to "3.9 Power Supply" (page 3-24).
Battery switch is set to OFF.
Set the battery switch to ON.
Refer to "3.9.2 Turning on the power supply" (page
3-27).
SJ-410 cannot be turned
on when the AC adapter is
connected.
Poor connection of the AC adapter.
Connect the AC adapter properly.
Refer to "3.9 Power Supply" (page 3-24).
The supplied AC adapter is not used.
Use the supplied AC adapter only.
Other than the above.
Contact your dealer or the nearest Mitutoyo sales
office.
Built-in battery can not be
recharged.
Recharge sign is not
displayed.
Battery switch is set to OFF.
The battery has deteriorated.
Set the battery switch to ON.
Refer to "3.9.2 Turning on the power supply" (page
3-27).
Replace the battery pack.
Refer to "20.2 Replacing the Built-in Battery Pack"
(page 20-3).
Battery temperature is low/high.
Start recharging under the appropriate temperature.
The battery is fully charged.
Recharging is not necessary.
An AC adapter other than that supplied with the
SJ-410 was used.
Use the supplied AC adapter only.
