15.5 Adjustment using the Leveling Table
The leveling table is an optional item.
The procedure of the leveling operation is nearly identical to that specified in the previous
section "15.3 Adjustment using the Tilt Knob" (page 15-6). (1) Perform preliminary
measurement and subsequently calculate the inclination θ from the mean line of the
measured profiles, and (2) perform leveling adjustment.
Following the guidance, perform the preliminary measurement and obtain the tilt angle. An
adjustment value is calculated based on the tilt angle, and displayed as a micrometer
value of the leveling table. This type of adjustment is easily completed by adjusting the
value of the micrometer head (for tilt adjustment head).
