21.2 Operation Error
■ Measuring operation

Possible causes
Remedies
Over-range error!
The result has exceeded the measurement range
during measurement.
- Adjust the detector stylus position.
- If it is tilted, adjust it in the preliminary
measurement.
- If the measurement range has been fixed, modify
the range to the larger one.
When the level meter displayed on the left of the
screen is red, over-range error occurs.
Limit error
The limit terminal is being touched during
measurement.
Return the drive unit to the origin direction, and
perform the measurement again.
Detector not connected
The detector is not properly connected.
Confirm that the detector is properly connected.
When the drive unit is properly connected and the
SJ-410 does not recover from the error, contact your
dealer or the nearest Mitutoyo sales office.
Drive Unit not connected
The drive unit is not properly connected.
Confirm that the drive unit is properly connected.
Overcurrent error
A current limit error has occurred while using the
automatic positioning unit.
Check the axis operation range for obstacles.
When this error occurs, you must restart the SJ-410.
Measurement is aborted.

Over-range has occurred.
Perform measurement again.
No measurement is
performed right after

Self-timer function has been set to ON.
Set the self-timer function to OFF.

When printout is started, no printer paper is
loaded on the printer.

The printer cover is not properly set.
Set the printer cover properly.
