The display goes off
unexpectedly.
The power was turned off by the Auto-sleep
function while the SJ-410 was powered by the
battery.
Press the [POWER] key to turn the power on.
Refer to "3.9.2 Turning on the power supply" (page
3-27).
Remaining battery power is low.
Recharge the battery.
Refer to "3.9 Power Supply" (page 3-24).
The SJ-410 does not
become the auto-sleep
state.
The AC adapter is used.
Press and hold the [POWER] key until the power
turns off.
Refer to "3.9.2 Turning on the power supply" (page
3-27).
The Auto-sleep function has been set to OFF.
Set the Auto-sleep function to ON.
Refer to "13.13.1 Setting the auto-sleep function"
(page 13-40).
The build-in battery is being recharged.
Wait until the battery is fully charged.
The SJ-410 cannot be
turned off.
The SJ-410 cannot be turned off while
measurement, returning, access to the card, or
printing is in progress.
Wait until the process in the left column is complete.
Cumulative distance is
over the limit!
Result of cumulative measured value of the
measuring length exceeds the display range.
Error display will be cleared
if the cumulative distant is deleted or the
measurement range is set to a wider range.
Refer to "6.6 Setting the Stylus Alarm" (page 6-19).
The SJ-410 does not emit
a sound.
Volume adjustment is set to minimum.
Adjust the volume.
Refer to "13.10 Setting the Click Sound" (page
13-24).
The buzz keeps sounding.
The position of the detector is exceeding the limit
value of the + side stroke.
Adjust the position of the detector so that it does not
exceed the + side stroke.
System error
A system malfunction has occurred.
When this error has occurred, you must restart the
SJ-410.
