TIP
• Perform leveling operation with the leveling table again to make sure that leveling
operation has done properly. To level the measuring surface more precisely, repeat
leveling operation with the leveling table.
IMPORTANT
• The rotational direction of the micrometer head (for tilt adjustment) specified in the
specs. is validated only when it is located in the same direction as the measurement
direction of the drive unit (the right side from the anterior view). However, the
micrometer head rotates reversely when the micrometer head is located in the direction
opposite to the measurement direction of the drive unit (the left side from the anterior
view).
Annoying leveling task is necessary for performing roughness measurement. In leveling of
a measuring surface (X direction), adjustment can easily be made with the micrometer
head by performing preliminary measurement.
The leveling table supports the DAT function of this product.
For information about operation procedure, refer to "15.5 Adjustment using the Leveling
Table (page 15-12)".
