■ Mounting the simple column stand
Attach the rear of the height/tilt adjustment unit to the mount board of the slider on the
simple column stand for up/down positioning of the drive/detector unit.
1 Secure the rear of the height/tilt adjustment unit (the rear of the drive/detector unit
for no use with the height/tilt adjustment unit) to the mount board of the slider using
the mounting screws supplied with the simple column stand.

2 Use the wheel handle on the top of the simple column stand and the up/down knob
on the height/tilt adjustment unit for up/down positioning.
Turn the wheel handle for coarse positioning, and turn the up/down knob for fine
positioning. If the height/tilt adjustment unit is not used, perform up/down positioning
only with the wheel handle on the simple column stand.
NOTE
• With the simple column stand only, leveling of a workpiece and the SJ-410 cannot be
performed. When performing leveling, use the optional accessory, such as the table or
optional unit of the stand, together with the simple column stand.
• Make sure to use the supplied screws.
• When attaching the simple column stand, exercise care so as not to drop the drive unit
or unit to prevent damage.
