■ Checking the condition of the touch panel protection sheet
Check that the touch panel protection sheet is not soiled or distorted. If the condition could
lead to poor operation, replace the touch panel protection sheet.
TIP
• For information about attaching the touch panel protection sheet, refer to "3.5 Attaching
the Touch Panel Protection Sheet" (page 3-17).
■ Checking the condition of the recording paper
Check the remaining amount of the recording paper. If it seems that the recording paper is
not sufficient for the next task, replace the recording paper, or order it if necessary.
TIP
• For information about setting the recording paper, refer to "3.7 Setting the Printer Paper"
(page 3-19).
■ Selecting a suitable storage place
Store the SJ-410 in a suitable place where the temperature can be maintained in a range
between -10°C and +40°C. The service life of the built-in battery varies a substantial
amount depending on the ambient temperature conditions, etc.
NOTE
• Keep the battery switch on unless the SJ-410 will not be used for a long period of time
(more than 2 to 3 weeks). With the battery switch on, measurement conditions and
measurement results obtained immediately before the SJ-
auto-sleep function are s
aved and displayed on the touch panel the next time the
instrument is used.
However, if the battery switch is off, the measurement results will be lost. In case the
SJ-410 will not be used for a long period of time with the built-in battery set to OFF,
nec
essary data must be printed or saved to the memory card before replacing the
built-in battery.
TIP
• For information on how to detach the drive/detector unit and the separation of the two,
refer to "3.3 Attaching and Detaching the Drive Unit and Detector" (page 3-6).
