4 Faults and alarms
4.2 List of faults and alarms
A30030 Power unit: Internal overtemperature alarm
Message class: Power electronics faulted (5)
Reaction: NONE
Acknowledge: NONE
Cause: The temperature inside the drive converter has exceeded the permissible temperature limit.
- insufficient cooling, fan failure.
- overload.
- ambient temperature too high.
Alarm value (r2124, interpret decimal):
Only for internal Siemens troubleshooting.
Remedy: - possibly use an additional fan.
- check whether the ambient temperature is in the permissible range.
Notice:
This fault can only be acknowledged once the permissible temperature limit minus 5 K has been fallen below.
A30031 Power unit: Hardware current limiting in phase U
Message class: Power electronics faulted (5)
Reaction: NONE
Acknowledge: NONE
Cause: Hardware current limit for phase U responded. The pulsing in this phase is inhibited for one pulse period.
- closed-loop control is incorrectly parameterized.
- fault in the motor or in the power cables.
- the power cables exceed the maximum permissible length.
- motor load too high
- power unit defective.
Note:
Alarm A30031 is always output if, for a Power Module, the hardware current limiting of phase U, V or W responds.
Remedy: - check the motor data and if required, recalculate the control parameters (p0340 = 3). As an alternative, run a motor
data identification (p1910 = 1, p1960 = 1).
- check the motor circuit configuration (star/delta).
- check the motor load.
- check the power cable connections.
- check the power cables for short-circuit or ground fault.
- check the length of the power cables.
A30032 Power unit: Hardware current limiting in phase V
Message class: Power electronics faulted (5)
Reaction: NONE
Acknowledge: NONE
Cause: Hardware current limit for phase V responded.
Remedy: Check the motor data and if required, recalculate the control parameters (p0340 = 3). As an alternative, run a motor
data identification (p1910 = 1, p1960 = 1).
- check the motor circuit configuration (star/delta).
- check the motor load.
- check the power cable connections.
- check the power cables for short-circuit or ground fault.
- check the length of the power cables.
