5.2 Survey Mode
The Survey Mode is used for quick analysis and tentative results. The sampling
period is two minutes long.
Sample the air away from the area of concern for one minute to serve as a
background to determine what, if anything, currently exists in the area.
For the second minute, sample directly over the area of concern to see what
additional chemicals are present.
HINT: Refer to Chapter 6, Methods, for additional information on the survey
method.
1 Open the Smart IQ software by double-clicking on the icon shown
in Figure 5-8.
