12.5 The Quantitation
When the ID Unknown function is used and a known compound is detected, the
quantitation result will be displayed in the Quantitative Report. See Figure 12-9.

12.6 Using the Calibrate Function
1 A standard or series of standards must be prepared from the list of analytes to
be quantified. If practical, prepare all standards in a single sample. If not, the
template/library can be built from multiple files. If possible prepare standards for
multi level calibration by serial dilution. Analytes can be prepared at the same
concentration for all compounds or at different concentrations. When using
individual concentrations, an initial concentration of each analyte must be
entered into the library using the method editor. Additional concentration levels
are then processed by using the dilution factor to calculate the concentration at
each level.
