3.7 WLAN MIMO Modulation Analysis Measurement
TRX1 (Primary) + TRX2 (Secondary module) (Note 1)
TRX3 (Primary) + TRX4 (Secondary module) (Note 1)
TRX2 (Primary) + TRX3 (Secondary module) (Note 2)
TRX2 (Primary) + TRX4 (Secondary module) (Note 2)
For MIMO 3x3, valid remote analyzer configurations are as follows:
TRX1 (Primary) + TRX2 (Secondary module) + TRX3 (Secondary module)
TRX2 (Primary) + TRX3 (Secondary module) + TRX4 (Secondary module)
For MIMO 4x4, the valid remote analyzer configuration is as follows:
TRX1 (Primary) + TRX2 (Secondary module) + TRX3 (Secondary module) + TRX4 (Secondary module)
For 80+80 MHz MIMO 2x2 (set MIMO Type to 2x2 and set radio standard to 802.11ac 80+80MHz.), then
valid remote analyzer connection is as follows, In which the first segment 80 MHz MIMO2x2 runs on
TRX1+TRX2, the second segment 80 MHz MIMO2x2 runs on TRX3 and TRX4. 4 TRXs involved actually,
although the MIMO type is set to MIMO 2x2
TRX1 (Primary) + TRX2 (Secondary module) + TRX3 (Secondary module) + TRX4 (Secondary module)
During MIMO EVM measurement the configuration is checked; if an invalid remote configuration for the
current MIMO type is detected, then an error message is displayed: “Setting Conflict; Invalid remote
configuration for current MIMO type”
Note 1: With this configuration, users are still able to start another separate MIMO2x2 on the left two
modules. In other words, this configuration allows up to two MIMO2x2 measurements to run on a 4-up
system respectively
Note 2: Cannot start another separate MIMO 2x2 on left two modules with this configuration. In other
words, this configuration allows only one MIMO2x2 measurement even if it’s a 4-up system
For VXT models M9420A/21A:
If M9421A-MMO is present, 2x2, 3x3 and 4x4 MIMO button appear
If M9421A-MMO and M9421A-MTS are present, 8x8 MIMO button appear
For VXT models M9410A/11A:
If M941xA-MMO is present, 2x2, 3x3 and 4x4 MIMO button appear
If M941xA-MMO and M941xA-MTS are present, 8x8 MIMO button appear (cross chassis MIMO)
For VXT models M9415A /16A :
If M941xA-MMO is present, 2x2, 3x3 and 4x4 MIMO button appear
