3.7 WLAN MIMO Modulation Analysis Measurement
E6640A:
There are constraints on remote analyzer connection configuration in E6640A. For MIMO 2x2, valid
remote analyzer connection is TRX1 (Primary) + TRX2 (Secondary module) or TRX3 (Primary) + TRX4
(Secondary module) 2-channel configuration. For MIMO 3x3, valid remote analyzer connection is TRX1
(Primary) + TRX2 (Secondary module) + TRX3 (Secondary module) 3-Channel configuration. To violate
these rules will get error “System Error; Invalid Primary TRX module configuration” or “System Error;
Invalid Secondary TRX module configuration”
Preset The current analyzer selection is unaffected by a Mode Preset
Release Highlighted Analyzer
Releases the highlighted remote analyzer.
When the user presses this softkey, the front panel of the highlighted analyzer will
be unlocked.
Remote
Command
:SYSTem:COMMunicate:ANALyzer:RELease:IPADdress <address string>
Example
:SYST:COMM:ANAL:REL:IPAD “146.208.172.102:5125”
release the specified remote analyzer
Notes In the “Analyzer Config” view, if the highlighted analyzer is released successfully, its “Channel Index”
will be set to be -1
If the local analyzer fails to release the highlighted analyzer, a warning message, which is “0.0.0.0:0000
cannot be released.”, will be shown in the message area. However, its “Channel Index” will also be set
to be -1
If there is no highlighted analyzer, no action will be taken and an error message will be generated, for
example, “There is no selected analyzer.”

Release All (Remote Command Only)
Release all the selected remote analyzer. The front panel of all the listed remoted
analyzer will be unlocked.
Remote
Command
:SYSTem:COMMunicate:ANALyzer:RELease:ALL
Example
:SYST:COMM:ANAL:REL:ALL
Notes In the “Analyzer Config” view, if the analyzer is released successfully, its “Channel Index” will be set to be
-1
If the local analyzer fails to release a remote analyzer, a warning message, which is “0.0.0.0:0000 cannot
be released.”, will be shown in the message area. However, its “Channel Index” will also be set to be -1
