• When performing leveling with a step specimen, use a flat surface, not a step

If the detector is not parallel to the measured surface, loosen the screw (M4) securing the
drive unit to the height/tilt adjustment unit. Adjust the detector so that it is parallel to the
measured surface, then secure the drive unit again.
• Side view of detector (skidless)
If the detector is not parallel to the measured surface, turn the height/tilt adjustment on the
height-tilt adjustment unit to adjust the detector.
• Side view of detector (skid-attached)
If the detector is not parallel to the measured surface, turn the height/tilt adjustment on the
height-tilt adjustment unit to adjust the detector.
