Starts software algorithms for determining the signal threshold levels and bitrate.

Sync symbol
Selects the sync symbol, a control symbol used for low-level control functions. You can
select one of the comma control symbols (K28.1, K28.5, K28.7) used for synchroniza-
tion or you can enter a pattern.

Pattern
Selects a pattern that serves as a sync symbol.

Pattern 2
Enables a second pattern that serves as a sync symbol and sets its value.
